Maria Catharina Scholl aka Anna Maria 1765-1825

Maria Catharina aka Anna Maria Scholl was born to Johann Georg Scholl and Anna Marie Kammerer on 10 April 1765. She married Philipp Jacob Roesch a Bürger (citizen) 1760-1832 on 23 May 1784 when she was 19. They had 11 unverified children according to FamilySearch. Her children were born between 1785 to 1804. Philipp Jacob Roesch, the local master shoemaker and fusilier, legitimately conceived unmarried son of Johann Philipp Roesch, the local citizen and master shoemaker, with Margaretha Magdalena, née Raicherin. Philipp died 18 March 1832 and Maria died 24 August 1825. Thus Philipp  lived on his own for the last 7 years of his life. Maria Catharina  lived 60 years 4 months 18 days. Anna Maria is also known as Maria Catharina Scholl. She is the daughter of George Scholl b 1620. Catharina's name may have been confused by pastor J. J. Ritter's knowledge of Catharina's younger sister who died at 2 named Anna Maria.

Notes of William Wyatt:
Marriage: Graben Parish Register; 1645-1800; item 2; p 23; marriage record; FHL film 1238310; notes -- says Philipp Jacob Roesch, son of Johann Philipp Roesch and Margaretha Magdalena born Raicher, married Anna [sic] Maria Scholl, daughter of Georg Scholl, deceased, and Anna Maria born Schmid [sic], deceased. Examination of other records establishes that Anna Maria is the same child christened as Maria Catharina, and that her mother's maiden name was Scholl, not Schmid.

Birth and Death: Graben Parish Register; 1645-1800; item 2; p 194; christening record; FHL film 1238310; notes -- says Maria Catharina, daughter of Georg Scholl, deceased, and Anna Maria born Schmid [sic]. Marginal note gives death date. Further research has shown that the mother's correct maiden name was Scholl, not Schmid.

What happened to their children? No child lived to adulthood.

Translation by Robert Seal:
On the 18th of April [1765], in the morning after 4:00 am was born and on the 19th [of April 1765] was baptized: Maria Catharina Schollin, born posthumously. Parents: the late Georg Scholl, former citizen here, and Anna Maria, née Schmidtin.
Baptismal sponsors: Christian Bickel, the local citizen and master blacksmith, and his wife Margaretha, née Beckerin. Adam Bühler, the local citizen and master cartwright, and his wife Margaretha, née Cammer[er]in. In right column: died 28 August 1825.
In lower left corner: quarterly report.
Notes: Maria Catharina born 18 Apr 1765 at 4 am baptized on the 19th death 28 Aug 1825. Posthuma means born after her father's death daughter Weyland or deceased citizen George Scholl in other words he died in the last 9 months and his wife Anna Maria Schmidt. Her name should be Scholl not Schmidt. Everything else fits including the list of baptismal sponsors which match the other children of Johann Georg Scholl 1720-1764. Pastor Ritter made a rare mistake.
Pastor: The Graben Pastor at the time Maria Catharina birth was
J. J. Ritter.

Comment: The missing word appears to be: F__elier. Note that the groom in the record immediately above has the same word in the same place in his marriage record.
Ulrich Neitzel: Hello Robert, Hello Kent
I think the missing word is "Fusilier", a type of soldier. Here is the Wikipedia entry for Fusilier: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fusilier
Prussia made early use of the title "fusilier" for various types of infantry. In 1705, the Foot Guards (Leibgarde zu Fuss) were designated as Fusilier Guards.[5] By 1837, low-quality infantry raised from garrison companies also were named fusiliers. These latter units were dressed in blue with low mitre caps.[6] Between 1740 and 1743 on Frederick the Great raised 14 separate Fusilier Regiments (numbers 33–40, 41–43 and 45–48).[7] Except for the mitre caps, these new regiments were identical in appearance, training and role to the existing line infantry (musketeers).
