Ludwig was born in Ottenbach 13 February 1610 to Katharina Kleiner and Johannes Sidler. Ludwig was their third child He married Elsbeth Schneebeli with whom he had 11 children.Their last child, Anna was born in 1660 and Elsbeth died five years later on 12 April 1665. Ludwig married nine years later.
14 years later Ludwig died, he lived to be 77 years 11 months and 29 days. That is a long life when the average was around 50 years.
