 J Ray Brown or John Ray Brown was the brother of Cynthiana Brown and son of Edith Nesbitt b 1888 and Joseph M Brown b 1885. He was born in Utah on the 31 of March 1919 in Utah about 35 miles outside of Cedar City. He spent most of his life in California, first in Redondo Beach and later Merced, CA He went to Fremont High School in Los Angeles and was a letterman in basketball. Ray died at 67 in Merced, CA on the 21 of September 1986 quite unexpectedly. 1939 Sacramento Directory:
