OGDEN--Clair John "Twink" Boyle, 78, died Wednesday, December 2, 1998 in Ogden, following a long illness.
He was born April 16, 1920 in Ogden, a son of Clair and Hazel Hill Boyle. On December 21, 1943, Clair married Virginia Rockwell in Ogden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Clair had been the project manager for Bull Frog Marina Development from 1969-1971. He was also a project manager in Utah, Wisconsin and Minnesota for Terracor of Salt Lake City, and leased land for oil companies through Alan Henderson (ANCO), prior to his retirement. He was also associated with his local family grocery business.
Surviving are his wife of Ogden; two sons and one daughter, Clair J. Boyle Jr., Bluffdale, Utah; David R. Boyle, Ogden; Dixie A. Boyle Malkogiannis, Huntsville; two grandchildren, Billy Bommer, Jr., Salt Lake City; Sarah Jo Ledet, Huntsville. Clair is also survived by one sister, Marge Bower, Layton; one nephew, Mark (MaryBeth) Bower, Bountiful; and three nieces, Gene B. (Tim) Carver, Layton; Marianne Brown, and Beverly (Mel) Charlesworth, both of Ogden.
Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery, where Military Honors will be accorded. Friends may call at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
