Harold Leland Brown was born in 1928, fourth of five children born to Harold and Mary Brown. For a time he worked for the El Paso Natural Gas Company. He was also a teacher in Bakersfield and Arizona and some say he was a favorite with the children he taught. He was married to Norine Lone Marshall and later to Marie Kelly, 1954. (She was previously married to Bill Coats) He battled alcohol his entire life. He worked with the scouts and was a Sunday School President in the LDS church. His nieces remember him as warm, charming and handsome. He died at 43.
