Barbara Sidler was born 18 September 1729 to Hans Kaspar Sidler, treasurer in Ottenbach and Veronica Schneebeli. She married Jakob Bär 16 January 1761. Her married life was to last for 25 years. She had 7 children. Barbara died 15 of April 1786. The Ottenbach Pastor David Locher noted in her death record that she was a "house frau" and lived 56.5 years. No cause of death noted.
