Things You'll Need

1. VHS tapes you want to copy
2. VHS player.
3. A reasonably fast PC.
4. A video capture card or adapter like the ones below
5. An S-Video cable, and a pair of RCA audio cables-

PC:

Mac:

For a Mac you probably need a firewire depending on how old your Mac is.  For a fairly new Mac you will need a thunderbolt to a firewire connector.  There are two types of firewire the old 400 which has a barn shape and the new 800 which is more square.
