Natell Nichols (Schaffer) 1925 - 2013

Natell Nichols Schaffer
1924-2013

In Loving Memory of Natell and George Schaffer

In 1955 Nicki and George moved from Salt Lake City for what they expected to be a short term work assignment in Boise.  Short term became a lifelong commitment to Boise and the making of many friendships that exist to this day.  They loved Boise, deciding to build their home in what started as a new subdivision in north Boise called The Highlands.  It became the perfect place to raise a family, and while the neighborhood changed over their 50 years in residence they always enjoyed and appreciated their neighbors.  Nicki and George were active in their community, starting with the Kiwanis Club, LDS church, Tri Delta, Bogus Basin Ski Patrol, Capital High School and Bronco Football.  Memories are many but a few favorites include; summer fishing trips to Idaho City, help with school projects, Saturday ski trips to Bogus Basin, Snoopy bulletin boards for Capital High classrooms, gourmet dinners and deck barbeques with family and friends.

Natell Nichols Schaffer, 89, passed away Sept 23, 2013.  George Schaffer, 87, passed away Jan 3, 2012.

They are survived by their son John.  A private family graveside memorial will be held in Farmington Utah October 12th.  In lieu of sending flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.

An informal memorial service, celebrating her life, will be Monday September 30, from 5pm-7pm, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bolinder, 5011 N. Hollow Ln, Boise, ID.

Natell is the daughter of De Lore Nichols and Charlotte Bachman.  Natell married George Schaffer.  She also had a sister named Ladeen who had a baby in 1961.  Natell and George lived in Boise, ID.  (see last clipping)
