JR put put Lyle through a mission. Lyle was active in the church in fact in 1930 he helped with a revision of the Book of Mormon in Spanish. He taught Gospel Doctrine in Hawaii for many years.
Lyle did his internship at Kaiser in Fontana, CA.
One year Adele sent Blaine Bachman a Christmas card with a cross on the front and the inscription, "Greedings from the Cross." These were very nice people.
During the Korean War Lanell Bachman got off the ship and Lyle and Adele showed him around the island. He informed the family he was going to take one last big vacation and he traveled around the south Pacific. That was his last vacation.
In Hawaii he drove a Mercedes with a little curb feeler on the front right of his car which helped him know the edge of his front fender.
It was said that Lyle was a brilliant individual. He made quite a bit of money and owned land in Hawaii and Australia. Adele had a niece who Lyle and Adele took and helped raise.
One day Lanell Bachman was sitting in his home in Albuquerque NM. The phone rang; Mark Bachman said he just got word that Lyle had passed away. Twenty minutes later the phone rang again. It was Adele, "Aloha from Hawaii; Lyle is dead." It was fortunate that Mark has warned them or that call would have been a complete shock.
After their deaths the Hawaiian Portuguese child inherited Lyle's large estate. Lyle and Adele chose to be cremated and have their ashes spread across the
Pacific Ocean. Later some family members placed a marker in the Eden
cemetery as a way of remembering them.
